Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026

This policy explains what information the Pocket Playground mobile game (the "App") handles, why, and the choices you have. The App is made by GB Ventures s.r.o., Czech Republic ("we", "us"). Contact: studio@gbventures.cz.

The short version
  • No accounts, no sign-in, no chat. We do not run servers that collect your data.
  • Your progress, coins and settings are stored only on your device.
  • The App shows ads through Google AdMob. Google collects some device data to show and measure those ads. Personalized ads are only shown where you have agreed, if your region requires consent.
  • Purchases are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see your payment details.

1. Information stored on your device

The App saves your game progress (stars, unlocked items, coins, hints, stickers, statistics) and your settings (sound, music, reduced motion, quality) in a file on your device. This data is not sent to us. It is deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App is free and shows optional rewarded ads (only when you choose to watch one, for example for a hint or a bonus) and occasional ads between levels, never during play. Buying "Remove Ads" turns off the ads between levels.

Ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited in the EEA, UK and Switzerland; Google LLC elsewhere). To deliver ads, limit how often you see them, prevent fraud and measure results, Google's SDK may collect:

  • device and app information (device model, operating system and version, app version, language, screen size);
  • the advertising identifier on Android (Google Advertising ID) and, on iOS, the vendor identifier (IDFV). The App does not ask for permission to track you on iOS, so the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA) is not available to it;
  • IP address, from which an approximate location is derived;
  • ad interactions (ads shown, taps, completed videos) and diagnostic data.

Consent. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the App asks for your consent through Google's consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads are shown. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are non-personalized (based on context, such as the app, not on your profile). You can change your choice at any time in the App under Settings → Privacy options. In other regions, ads may be personalized unless you opt out in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising).

Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

3. In-app purchases

Coins, the Starter Bundle and Remove Ads can be bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store. The store processes the payment and keeps your payment and account details under its own privacy policy (Google, Apple). The App only receives a confirmation that a purchase was made (the product and a transaction ID), which it uses on your device to deliver the item and to let you restore non-consumable purchases.

4. Ratings and support

The App may ask, at most occasionally, whether you would like to rate it, using Google's or Apple's in-app review feature. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and use it only to answer you.

5. What we do not do

  • We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services in the App.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not ask for your name, email, contacts, photos, location permission or microphone.

6. Legal bases (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

PurposeLegal basis
Personalized adsYour consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw in Settings → Privacy options
Non-personalized ads, frequency capping, fraud prevention, ad measurementOur legitimate interest in funding a free game (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); storing and reading identifiers on the device for these purposes follows your consent choices where the law requires it
Delivering and restoring purchasesPerformance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
Answering your emailsOur legitimate interest in helping you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)

7. Sharing and international transfers

Data collected by the advertising SDK is processed by Google, and purchase data by Google or Apple, as independent controllers. These companies may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. How long data is kept

Game data stays on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data. Google keeps advertising data according to its own retention policies. We keep support emails for as long as needed to help you, and no longer than two years.

9. Children

The App is designed for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law), you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, and receive a copy of your data. Because we do not hold game data on servers, most requests can be met on your device: see Delete your data. For advertising data, use Google's tools linked above. You can also email studio@gbventures.cz. In the EU you may complain to your data protection authority; in the Czech Republic this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the App's update notes.
